The apprenticeship community in Utah is made up of the below three entities.

1) The Office of Apprenticeship serves as the registration agency for the approval of all Registered Apprenticeship programs that meet the standards and criteria of apprenticeship established by the US Department of Labor.

2) The Utah Registered Apprenticeship Steering Committee (RASC) is made up of partners from:

• Office of Apprenticeship
• Utah System of Higher Education (USHE)
• Utah State Office of Education (USOE)
• Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS)
• Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL)
• Utah Labor Commission
• Utah Apprenticeship Related Instruction Advisory Team
• Utah Training Directors' Association
• Labor Organization
• Employer Association
• Plus current apprenticeship sponsors that have registered apprenticeship programs. Each of the sponsors has an alternate member from their geographical area in the state to ensure statewide representation.

RASC is charged to: 1) Advise the Office of Apprenticeship in the promotion of apprenticeship in traditional and non-traditional occupations and industries and 2) Assists to expand and improve apprenticeship access for all Utahans.

3) The Utah Registered Apprenticeship Steering Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the State Director. It is made up of apprenticeship program sponsors, employers, employer groups and labor organizations.
